☀️ Stay Sun Smart at LESC!

As the weather warms up, it’s a good time to remind everyone about our Sun Smart Policy and the importance of protecting ourselves from UV exposure while at school.

At Lakes Entrance Secondary College, we are committed to promoting safe and healthy habits when spending time outdoors. From September through to the end of April, and whenever UV levels are 3 or above, our Sun Smart expectations apply to all students and staff.

Here’s what that looks like in practice:

• Hats on! Broad-brimmed or bucket hats  for outdoor classes, PE and sport, and yard activities.
• Seek shade. Wherever possible, choose shaded areas during breaks and outdoor activities.
• Sunscreen available. SPF 50+ sunscreen is available at the General and Sub School Leader Offices, please use it regularly and reapply every two hours.

• Cover up. Wearing sun-protective clothing, such as longer sleeves and collars, helps reduce UV exposure.

   

Being Sun Smart is a shared responsibility, and small actions now make a big difference later. Thank you for helping us keep our school community safe in the sun!

2026 Enrolments

We are still accepting enrolments for 2026 at Lakes Entrance Secondary College.

If you are considering joining our college community, we would love to hear from you.

Please contact the General Office on 5155 2982 to arrange a chat and a tour of the college with our Principal, Mr Henderson.

It’s a great chance to see our school in action, meet some of our staff and students, and learn more about the programs we offer.
