Kate Couchman
Welcome back to a new 2026 school year. The holidays always seem to go by so quickly, though it is great to see the smiling and friendly faces of our students back at Monivae. Welcome to our Monivae family for our new families, from students starting in Year 7, right through to Year 12.
Wellbeing Hub at Monivae
We have a fabulous Wellbeing Hub team at Monivae with three full time counselling staff members, Shane Carr as our chaplain and Lachlan Beaton- clinical psychologist (registrar) (see below).
Belinda Carroll - full time student counsellor
Natalie Templeton - full time student counsellor
Kate Couchman - teacher, Director Student Wellbeing, counsellor
Some reasons students might visit the Wellbeing Hub team:
Students and families are able to refer/access support through the following email address wellbeinghub@monivae.vic.edu.au or through calling our Wellbeing Hub on 5551 1238.

Lachlan Beaton- Clinical Psychologist (Registrar) at Monivae in 2026

If you are interested in psychological support for your young person or educational psychology testing, please be in contact through our email: wellbeinghub@monivae.vic.edu.au as places are filling up quickly for Semester 1 in 2026. Please see more information, for our new families, below:
Monivae College is expanding its Wellbeing Hub services in 2026 to include Clinical Psychologist, Lachlan Beaton. Lachlan will offer one-on-one psychology sessions, telehealth, and educational testing to support students’ mental health and learning needs. The service aims to reduce long regional waiting lists and provide accessible, on-site care. With a Mental Health Care Plan, families will have no out-of-pocket costs for psychology sessions. Educational testing will be subsidised, helping identify learning needs and guide learning plans. This initiative reflects Monivae’s commitment to early mental-health intervention and enhanced student wellbeing. More information can be found at:

Monivae Wellbeing Hub Support
Many thanks to Shane Carr and Bellinda Carroll from our Monivae Wellbeing Hub team who recently supported students and teaching staff at The Hamilton and Alexandra College after the loss of a former student. This is a great example of our staff displaying our MSC values of compassion and community.
