Year 12 Camp

64 Year 12 students were lucky enough to spend a few days this week on camp, in the coastal town of Anglesea. Heading off on Monday the 2nd of March, students had a short pit stop at Deakin University for a tour around a very busy campus (which was kicking off the new academic year on the same day). Students were shown through the health sciences, nursing, science areas, as well as seeing what a busy university campus looks like for tertiary education.

Arriving down at Anglesea, students engaged in a number of different activities across the 3 day camp. Surfing, stand up paddleboarding, trivia and lawn bowls provided the students with a number of opportunities to connect with their peers and have a bit of fun together. These activities were supplimented with some workshops on managing stress and GEM (Gratitute, Empathy and Mindfulness) training to ensure our year 12 students are more equipped to get themselves through the stress of the final year of high school.

Students enjoyed connecting with both staff and students and the opportunity to be a part of one last school camp.
