Despite not being on a normal timetable for the first three weeks, Signora and the students have all met and started working together. Every day starts with flashcards, teacher modelling and verbal exchanges in the younger to middle years; while the older years  revise their vocabulary and communication skills with a stronger focus on hands up question and answer, and individual greetings exchanges. Every class has been revising topics, so far, this year. The year ones are learning individual colours and the year twos have been exploring spelling colours; the year threes and fours have made a cover page and have been revisiting numbers with a focus on spelling and writing support, and the seniors have been looking at greetings. The seniors are studying comedian dell’arte in drama and this is a cross curriculum opportunity for us. All the classes will be visiting Venice this year in class - and Signora will be visiting Venice in real life at the end of the year to support her studies at UWA in Italian language and History of Art.
