Principal's Report

I’m thrilled to announce that our newly upgraded Nature Playground will open next week. Students will be reintroduced gradually as we revisit safety expectations and explore the new equipment together. This upgrade is the first step in a larger redevelopment plan, with more improvements to come.
This month, I attended the AISWA Leaders Conference with our Bursar, Tracey Cowlin, and two board members. It was inspiring to connect with leaders from across the state and gather ideas from keynote speakers and sponsors that will help shape our future planning.
During our recent P&F meeting, we discussed several exciting projects on the school wish list. Our top priority is enhancing the Undercover Area, beginning with a dedicated sound system. I’m looking forward to continuing this collaborative work with the P&F to strengthen our school’s facilities.
Next week also marks the beginning of our Story Dogs program. Jayne and her dog Mackenzie will work with our Year 2 students each Wednesday in Kookaburra Corner. We’re eager to see the positive impact this program will have on student reading.
As we enter the back end of Term 2, our teachers are busy preparing student reports, which will be published later this term. I want to extend my sincere thanks to all our families for your ongoing partnership and support throughout the first semester. Your involvement in school events, initiatives, and community activities continues to make a meaningful difference to the learning environment at Pioneer Village School.
