Library Awards
Our most recent library award winners and their chosen book selections are as follows:

Congratulations to all these students – we hope you enjoy your books and continue to borrow regularly from our collection.
Remember – you have to be in it to win it! Borrowing books three weeks in a row during your weekly library session earns you a ticket into our Library Awards entry box and random drawings are completed on Wednesday announcements.
Book Week
Book Week will be upon us in only three weeks (Week 7!) The above activities highlight the whole school activities we will all be doing, with many year levels completing other complementary Book Week activities.
Book Fair
Our annual Book Fair will also arrive during Book Week!
The Book Fair will be open for browsing and purchases from Thursday 27 August to Tuesday 1 September 2026. In order to coincide with Book Week, we have chosen to host a Scholastic Book Fair this year, something we have not done for many years. Scholastic has assured us that the titles available at the Book Fair are quite different from those offered through their regular Book Club program, giving students plenty of exciting new books to discover.
The Book Fair is always a highlight for our students, who love browsing the shelves, discovering new favourites, and creating their own ‘Wish Lists’ to share with their families.
Victorian Premiers Reading Challenge
The Victorian Premiers' Reading Challenge finishes in just three weeks, so now is the perfect time for students to ensure their online reading records are up to date.
It has been wonderful to see so many students logging the books they have read. However, there are still a number of students who have not yet entered any books into their online reading record. We encourage all students participating in the Challenge to log their reading as soon as possible to ensure their efforts are recognised before the Challenge closes.
To successfully complete the Challenge, students are required to read:
- Prep to Year 2: 30 books (including 20 Challenge books and 10 choice books)
- Years 3 to 10: 15 books (including 10 Challenge books and 5 choice books)
If you have any questions about the Challenge, require assistance accessing your child's online reading record, or need help with login details, please contact Tracey Johansen (Grade 1), who will be happy to assist.

Overdue Books
Thank you to everyone who has responded to our overdue library book notices. It has been wonderful to see so many overdue books returned or renewed over the past few weeks.
We greatly appreciate the efforts parents and carers have made in helping their children locate overdue books, return them to school, or let us know if they are no longer at home. Your assistance makes a significant difference in helping us maintain an accurate library catalogue and ensuring that our books are available for other students to borrow and enjoy.
Recovering overdue books helps us keep our library collection complete, reduces the need for costly replacements, and ensures all students continue to have access to the wonderful resources our library has to offer.
Thank you for your continued support in helping us care for our library collection and foster a love of reading within our school community.
