School Council

Although School Council hasn't met since our last newsletter, there has certainly been plenty happening behind the scenes as our volunteers put the finishing touches on our biggest fundraising event of the year!

Before I move on to Trivia Night, I'd also like to acknowledge the recent announcement of our updated Vision, Mission and Community Values. This important work has been led by the Wellbeing Committee over many months, with valuable input from students, families, staff and School Council. 

Thank you to everyone who took the time to contribute to the consultation process. If you haven't already had a chance to read the Sentral post outlining our new Vision, Mission and Values, I encourage you to do so.

Trivia Night – Friday 21st August

The countdown is on for what promises to be a fantastic evening of laughter, friendly competition and community spirit. Whether you're a trivia expert or simply looking for a fun night out with friends, we'd love to see you there.

If you haven't already, now is the perfect time to gather your friends, family or neighbours and book a table. Every ticket sold helps support valuable projects and resources for our students, and it's always one of the highlights of the school calendar.

How You Can Help

To help make the night a success, we are still seeking donations for two of our major fundraising activities:

• Barrow of Booze: Donations of wine, beer, spirits or other unopened alcoholic beverages are still urgently needed. Every contribution, big or small, helps create a fantastic prize that always attracts plenty of interest.
• Class Hampers: Thank you to everyone who has already donated. If your family is still able to contribute an item towards your child's themed class hamper, we'd be incredibly grateful. These hampers are always popular on the night and make a significant contribution to our fundraising efforts.

For those wishing to donate, Barrow of Booze contributions can be dropped off at the school office by a person aged 18 years or over. Class Hamper donations can be given directly to your child's classroom teacher.

As we prepare for Trivia Night, I'd like to acknowledge just a few of the many wonderful contributions from within our Bimbadeen community. A number of our families have donated prizes or helped secure donations for our Silent Auction. Thanks to their support, we have some truly exciting items on offer, and we are incredibly grateful for everything they have done.

Your contributions will help make this year's Trivia Night a wonderful success.

We'll also be recognising our many valued local businesses and community supporters in a future newsletter following the event.

Finally, thank you to everyone who has donated, volunteered their time or already booked a ticket. Every contribution, whether large or small, helps us create a fantastic evening while raising valuable funds for our students.

Looking Ahead

On Wednesday 19th August, School Council will commence with our annual Public Reporting Meeting, which will be conducted via WebEx. This meeting provides an opportunity for our school community to hear about the school's progress over the past year, including key achievements, priorities and the work of School Council.

If you are interested in attending the Public Reporting Meeting, please keep an eye on Sentral for the WebEx meeting details closer to the date.

Following the Public Reporting Meeting, School Council will continue with its scheduled August meeting.
