Religious Education

Congratulations to Kasch, Dusty, Miles, Florence, Flynn, Willem and Bas!
It has been a joy to witness several of our students recently receive the Sacrament of Baptism. We warmly congratulate the Drinan children, Kasch, Dusty, Miles, and Florence, and Flynn Dixon, and Willem and Bas Wollhuis, who were all baptised at St. Patrick's Church on Saturday, October 21st. Baptism is a very special and joyful occasion, marking the beginning of a lifelong journey with God as members of the Church. Through this sacred Sacrament, they are welcomed into a community of faith, hope and love and are reminded that they are God’s beloved children. We pray that the light of Christ continues to guide them as they grow in faith. Sincere thanks to Lisa Brick for all of her wonderful work with the children.
"Go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." (Matthew 28:19)
Holy Week
As we approach the most sacred time in our Church year, we warmly invite all families to journey with us through Palm Sunday, Holy Week and Easter. While Christmas is often seen as the highlight of the year, it is in fact Easter and the Resurrection of Jesus that sit at the very heart of our faith. This is the time when we remember Jesus’ great love for us and celebrate the hope and new life that comes through Him.
Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week and invites us to walk closely with Jesus.
We will gather as a school for our Holy Week paraliturgy on Thursday, 2nd April, at midday. This will be a reverent and prayerful time for our students to reflect on the events of Holy Week. Families are welcome to join us in the MPR.
As part of our Religious Education, students have been deeply engaged in rich learning experiences as they explored the events of Holy Week and their significance in our faith. The following photos highlight some of the activities and experiences that supported students' understanding in Prep HF, 1/2 KK, and 1/2 KD.
May this Holy Week be a time of prayer, reflection and hope for all our families as we prepare to celebrate the joy of Easter.
Prayer
Dear Lord,
As we enter Holy Week, help us to walk closely with Jesus. When we see the palm branches, remind us to praise Him with joy. When we remember the Last Supper, teach us to serve others with love. And as we wait by the Cross, fill our hearts with thanks for His great sacrifice.
Help our school and our families become people of kindness, forgiveness, and hope. May the light of the Resurrection brighten our hearts as we get ready to celebrate the joy of Easter.
Amen.
