World Maths Day
On Wednesday afternoon the students celebrated and participated in World Maths Day activities. The Prep - Year 2 students all came together and played a range of maths related games that students brought from home. The Year 3 - 6 students played a variety of mathematical themed games as well. It was fantastic to see the students mix so well with each other and have the opportunity to not only enjoy each other's company, but to understand that lots of games involve Maths and can be fun!
Mathletics
Congratulations to Leo Cipolla 1 / 2 EW who was awarded the Student of the Week Award for Mathletics. Leo managed to received three certificates in the past two weeks. The students who receive Mathletics certificates are recognised at every assembly. If a student receives an award after 2pm on the Thursday before assembly can you please let Mr. James know. The certificates are printed off by this time, therefore if a child has received a certificate after school on that day then it has unintentionally not been acknowledged. Please email me at john.james@sjvparkdale.catholic.edu.au if this circumstance applies to your child in the future. The Student of the Week Award is given to the student who received the most Mathletics points between assemblies. Fantastic work Leo!
