Welcome to the GEC Library for 2026. We would like to extend a warm welcome to our new students and Year 7 students of 2026. Congratulations to Rhea (Year 8) and Mrudaanee (Year 9), our 2026 Library Captains!

Library Lovers’ Day

On 14th February, libraries around Australia celebrate Library Lovers’ Day. This is a day to celebrate all that libraries do for the community. Students can enjoy a ‘Blind Date with a Book’ and other activities at lunchtime on Friday 13th February.

Homework Help

Tuesday and Wednesdays after school in the library (3.15pm - 4.30pm).

Volunteer tutors available for assistance with most subject areas. The library is open every day after school for students except when staff meetings are scheduled.

Book Club

We look forward to Book Club in 2026! We’d love to see more members join Book Club this year. Students can come see us in the library if they’d like to join. Book Club runs at lunch time every fortnight on Wednesdays on the blue timetable week.
