Interschool Athletics

Primary

A team of 19 students represented MCC at the SSVSS Division Primary (interschool) athletics. Students competed enthusiastically and were well-behaved throughout the day. A big thanks to Mrs Susan Tresize for managing the team all day, ensuring students got to their correct events on time! Thanks also to the parents and friends who showed up to support our team! Four people qualified to represent MCC at the next level of competition, the Loddon Mallee Region (LMR) finals in Bendigo.

LMR Qualifiers:

Malachi Ihezue -100m, 1500m

Regan Janetzki - 800m

Emmy Linklater - High Jump

Secondary

A large team of secondary students represented MCC with pride at the SSVS Division Secondary Track and Field. Our students gave everything, whether it was competing for first place, or battling for 7th and 8th. Mrs Cobden did an excellent job of managing the team and coordinating students to ensure they reached their events on time. This year we had our first age champion at this event, Mason Janetzki, who also set a record in the 1500m. The team also accumulated enough points to finish 8th out of the 10 schools that entered competitors, a good effort given our size and the volume-based points system. Congratulations to all competitors and thank you to those who came to cheer them on!

LMR Qualifier:

Mason Janetzki - 200m, 800m, 1500m
