MCC Athletics Carnival 

After some rain throughout the week, we were blessed with a dry day to complete our school athletics carnival! Students gathered for the first time between their brand new house banners, and following a whole school devotion, commenced their events. 

To avoid becoming overtired on such a big day, students turning 7 or under in 2026 left for school before returning to the athletics club to join in the day, completing their own circuits with their teachers. A well earned BBQ was enjoyed by competitors, staff and volunteers before finishing off the final events. 

Students represented their houses well all day, with many qualifying to compete with other local schools in the division track & field. 17 new records were set on the day, including one by the Eirene 4x100m relay team. Many thanks to all staff who performed their roles so capably, and a special thank you to our parent volunteers who did an amazing job!

Age champions were presented with their age champion ribbons at assembly. Due to a 1st, 2nd and 3rd ribbon supply shortage, these will be distributed in term 4. In the meantime, full individual results can be found here.
