Acting Principal's Report

End of Term 

As we reach the end of another busy term, I would like to thank all of our students and staff for a fantastic term. It has been wonderful to see everyone working hard, embracing new challenges and contributing positively throughout the term. The portfolios showcasing some of the wonderful work of the students will be sent home during the first week of term 4. 

Today’s Preston Post will be the last newsletter for the term. 

As we head into Term 4, there is a hint of sadness as it is our Grade 6 students’ last term at Preston Primary. As always Term 4 will be very busy as our students prepare for graduation and transition to high school. 

On Friday 18 September we will be finishing school at 2:30 pm. 

Building Works

Our building works continue to progress well, with the brickwork now completed and plastering underway inside the new building. 

We are very excited that our long-awaited new playground at the Junior School will be available for students to use at the beginning of next term. This will provide students with a fantastic new space to play, explore and enjoy for many years to come.

Hats : No Hat, No Play

It is compulsory for all children to wear a hat when they are outside and the UV rating is 3 and above. Children must wear a royal blue school hat. Parents can buy a bucket hat from the school Uniform Shop. The children can also wear a royal blue broadbrimmed hat.

Children are not permitted to wear a baseball style hat.

Parents, please make sure your child has a clearly named hat in their bag at all times for the remainder of the year. Children who do not have a hat will be restricted to playing in an undercover area.

If your child needs a new hat, you can order one on Compass.

I would like to wish all students, families and staff a safe, relaxing and enjoyable break. 

I hope everyone has the opportunity to rest, recharge and enjoy some quality time with family and friends and look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday 05 October for another exciting term.
