Elevate Education - Study Sensei

Our Year 11 students participated in an Elevate Education Study Sensei session. The program provided students with practical strategies around study habits, time management, and exam preparation - skills that will be invaluable as our Year 11 cohort looks ahead to their final years of schooling.

Formal Preparations Underway

Formal preparations are now officially underway. Mr Keane has met with the Formal Committee to begin planning the evening, with discussions around colour schemes, menus, and logistics already in progress.

School Leadership Passion Projects

Our Year 12 student leaders have commenced their Leadership Portfolio Passion Projects. Ms Koutsoukis has met with the group to outline expectations and support students in identifying their chosen area of focus. This initiative provides our leaders with a meaningful opportunity to contribute positively to the school community and leave a lasting legacy. We look forward to seeing the projects develop over the coming months.

Swimming Carnival

The Swimming Carnival was a great success for our Senior School students, who demonstrated excellent participation and behaviour throughout the day. The event was a thoroughly enjoyable occasion for students and staff alike. Congratulations to all involved.

Culture Day Celebrations

Culture Day was a wonderful celebration of the diversity within our school community. A sincere thank you to our Culture Captains, and the Year 12 leaders who contributed to making the day such a success. It was pleasing to see so many cultures represented and celebrated, and the day served as a fine reflection of the inclusive environment we strive to maintain.

VCE

The VCE area is currently experiencing high usage as students manage their SAC commitments. We encourage all VCE students to continue planning their time carefully, engaging proactively with their teachers, and maintaining their wellbeing throughout this demanding but important period of the academic year.

School-Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SBATs)

We are pleased to recognise two students who are undertaking School-Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships alongside their VCE studies:

• Thomas Durack commenced his apprenticeship in Commercial Cookery at the beginning of 2026.

• Alaska Rose Lester has just commenced her traineeship in Hairdressing. Congratulations to Alaska and Thomas on this exciting milestone.

Our SBAT students are being supported by HeadStart, and SBATs provide students with the opportunity to gain Certificate III qualifications and practical workplace experience while completing their VCE. It’s a big juggle and workload! We commend both Thom and Alaska on their commitment and wish them every success as they progress along their chosen pathways.
