Careers Corner

Excursions are a powerful part of careers education. These experiences offer invaluable opportunities to explore real-world career pathways, connect with industry professionals, and gain practical insights beyond the classroom. As students begin to plan for life after school, such excursions can help inform their decisions and open doors to exciting future possibilities. In Term 1, Years 10, 11 and 12 students had the opportunity to attend the Career Networking Expo run by the Local Employment Network. This expo connected young people with education, employment, and business representatives, to expand their career networks and explore pathway options.

Another highlight of the term was the Avalon Careers Day at the Australian International Airshow. This unique experience immersed students in the world of aviation, aerospace, defence, engineering, and related industries. Students engaged with professionals, explored state-of-the-art technology, and discovered the many career opportunities available in these exciting fields. It was a rare and inspiring chance to witness where passion can truly meet profession.
