Cross Country

This week we have the following students, Jack Nugent, Eleanor Shortis, Poppy Davidson, Clementine Davidson and Charlotte Shepherd represent the Bathurst Diocese at the Cross Country Polding trials in Sydney.  All students represented the school with great pride and excellent sportsmanship.

A special mention must go to Eleanor Shortis who was selected for the Polding Team. Eleanor will now compete in the  NSWPSSA Cross Country on July 22nd at the Sydney Equestrian Centre.  We wish her the very best in this fine achievement.

Rugby 10's

This week the Dio Rugby 10's was held at Waratahs.  We had two teams taking part.  Both teams did extremely well.  The young Yr 5 team coached by Mr Bishenden played some great rugby against other teams made up of entirely Year 6 students.  This team will be a major force next year.

Mr Hudson's team were lucky enough to reach the final.  Here they came up against Saint Matts Mudgee who played with great skill and were victorious in the final.  Catherine McAuley would like to wish the Mudgee team all the success in Sydney.

Overall a great years rugby by all involved.  The most impressive thing this year was the sportsmanship and pride with which each boy represented the school and their families.  A credit to you all.  Mr Bishenden and Mr Hudson would like to thank all the parents for the fantastic support given throughout this year.  It is appreciated.
