This year our Mini Vinnies Winter Appeal connected with our new "My Acts of Kindness" Initiative. We have been learning about how "One Smile, One Word and One Action" all make a difference to our world so we decided to connect our Mini Vinnies Winter Appeal to a kindness action. In our Paddle Packs, the children were asked to donate one can or packet of food for people in Orange who may not be as fortunate as ourselves. I was very honoured to witness our beautiful Mini Vinnies group presenting all of our goods to Mr Keith Dowling, our local St. Vincent de Paul Vinnies Van Coordinator and Ms Lauren Cayeaux, the St. Vincent de Paul School's Youth Engagement Coordinator. A huge thank you to our McAuley families and community for donating food, our Mini Vinnies team for collecting it all, and to our one and only Mrs Garnon who coordinated this initiative.

Whilst we were presenting our Mini Vinnies Winter Appeal goodies, Mr Dowling offered to show our team the Vinnies Van, Rosie. This van is used to feed our homeless and hungry each week. It was very exciting to check out Rosie!

I was excited to facilitate a Retreat morning for our Kindergarten students and teachers this morning. At this retreat we reflected on the phrase, "to be the apple of God's eye". Our kindergarten students sang and danced and learnt more about belonging to their family and to the family of God. It was a great morning.

Have a great fortnight everyone!
God Bless
