Term 2 Information

We have one sports round left for this term with the final games for Term 2 being played on Saturday 21 June. Winter sport will resume in Term 3, Week 1.

Pink Round

Round 9 (Term 3, Week 2) is the scheduled PINK ROUND for sport.

In support of Australians affected by breast cancer, School Sport Associations SAAS, SACSSGSA and IGSSA have scheduled PINK ROUND into our sports fixture calendars for all sports games in our associations from July 28th – August 3rd, 2025.

We encourage players, officials, supervisors, and spectators to wear some PINK to raise breast cancer awareness, generate discussion encouraging breast screening, and show support for the 20,000+ women and men diagnosed with breast cancer in Australia every year.

To assist your school with PINKING IT UP, local sportswear business, Nelson Sportswear is selling premium PINK sports socks to our schools as a fundraising activity, with proceeds of the sales donated to a PINK charity nominated by the associations.

Families can order socks using the link below:

https://events.humanitix.com/pink-sports-round-socks

The link will close at 9:00am on Friday 20th June and we will not be taking any further orders after this time.

What an incredible day of netball for our Year 7/8 knockout team! The team started strong with a dominant 36–9 win in their first game and held their nerve in a thrilling second match, coming away with a hard fought 2 goal victory. The final clash against Glenunga was an absolute nail-biter, with the lead constantly shifting. SAPSASA Netball

This week Loreto has had Bella, Charlotte, Everly, Paloma and Sophie represent East Adelaide SAPSASA zone in the State Netball Carnival. East Adelaide’s teams are both in medal contention as they head into the final day of the carnival.

Soccer

Our teams finish their term on Friday afternoon this week. Well done on a great term! Our Year 5/6s have started knocking in goals regularly; our Year 4 Gold and Year 4 Blue teams have continued on their dominant way; our new Year 3s are improving every week and taking it up to some older opponents.

Basketball

Well done to our Year 3/4s who had a strong 16-0 win over Concordia on Wednesday afternoon. It is great to see the players growing in confidence, demonstrating their dribbling skills and passing to teammates. The “team buy in” towards defending has also been impressive!

Performing Arts Festival 2025 – A Celebration of Milestones

This year’s Performing Arts Festival was a spectacular celebration of creativity, collaboration, and courage. Centred around the theme "Milestones", the evening saw approximately 480 students shine on stage in front of an audience of over 1,000. The result was a stunning showcase of talent and teamwork, with students pouring months of effort, planning, and rehearsal into every moment.

Knowing that every element of the Festival is student-led only makes the event more impressive. From deciding the theme to designing their show, teaching and rehearsing songs, choreographing dances, and even designing the lighting – our girls demonstrated just how deeply they value the performing arts and, of course, their PAF!

As Director of Performing Arts, I’m incredibly proud of what our students have achieved. Events like this remind us of the strength of our community, the value of the arts, and the incredible things that happen when students are empowered to lead, create, and shine.

A huge congratulations to Ward House, who took home the overall winning trophy this year. Their interpretation was both thoughtful and powerful, earning well-deserved recognition. That said, every House deserves immense praise – the standard across the board was exceptional, and it was clear how much heart and hard work went into every minute on stage.

Congratulations to all involved – it was truly a night to remember. Heartfelt thanks must also go to the House Liaison staff, the PAF production team, and all teaching staff who so generously supported the girls along the way.
