MOE’S REPORT 24/06/2025

Since June 15th, I have been staying with my second

host family, the Kellys. They welcomed me so warmly

and I’m having a great time. Thank you so much.

We have already made plans to make Japanese food

together, and I’m looking forward to it.

My host mother, Cole, told me about a fun TV show. It’s Lego

Masters. Have you seen it? I really enjoy watching the LEGO builders make cool things with their creative ideas. One of my favourite builds is “Carrot Man vs Evil Bunny” because the underground scenes have a lot of small details.

Season 7 is almost over. I can’t wait to see the final!

Fun times with Amelia

Amelia taught me how to make bracelets. She was a great sensei! Rubber band bracelets are easy to make and very cute, so I think Japanese kids would love them.

Also, we formed a little band (Amelia plays the drums and I play the ukulele) and played drawing on the back. Neither of us was perfect, but that didn’t matter. We had a lot of fun!

Host Grandma’s Birthday Party

I had the chance to attend my host grandma’s birthday dinner and meet Cole’s big family. Everyone shared a special memory with her —some were sweet, others were funny. It was easy to see how close the family is. Then we sang the birthday song. I learned that in Australia, they say “Hoo-ray!” at the end. That word made it even more fun! We also enjoyed homemade lemon cake. I’m grateful for such a special

experience.

Jigsaw Puzzle

We have been into a 1000-piece puzzle. The photo on the right  shows our progress after 4 days. The parts we hadn’t done yet were the rocks and trees. The brown rocks were the hardest part, but we managed to complete them by carefully looking at tiny differences. Well done, us! Since yesterday, we have started a new tricky puzzle which has some completely white pieces. Once we start, we can’t stop!
