Winter Gala Day - Grades 5 & 6 Day 2

Despite the chilly winter weather and a wave of student absences due to illness, Gala Day 2 went ahead with plenty of determination and team spirit on display.

Held on Friday, 27th June, the event brought together 10 primary schools from the Ringwood North district for a day of finals and consolation finals.

Our students showed incredible resilience, with many teams playing back-to-back games and battling it out with very limited numbers.

With students either playing in finals or consolation finals based on their results from Gala Day 1, the level of competition was high across all sports. Whether it was on the netball court, soccer pitch, footy field, or in lawn bowls or tee-ball games, every player gave it their all, representing our school with pride and excellent sportsmanship.

The students encountered tough conditions, but there were many standout moments, including narrow victories, gutsy defensive efforts, and goals scored by sheer determination. Coaches and teachers praised the students' commitment, teamwork, and ability to push through fatigue to support each other on and off the field.

A huge thank you goes out to all staff and volunteers who made the day run smoothly, and a special shout-out to our students who stepped up and gave it everything for their teams. We are incredibly proud of your efforts!
