Keeping Our Playground Clean, Safe and Respectful

Over the next two weeks, our PBL focus is on keeping our playground clean, safe and enjoyable for everyone. Playtime is a chance to have fun, be active and spend time with friends. To make sure everyone can enjoy this time, we all need to take responsibility for our shared spaces.

Keeping Our School Grounds Clean

A clean playground is a safe playground. Rubbish and food scraps left on the ground can cause accidents and make our environment unpleasant.

We will focus on:

• Putting all rubbish in the bins
• Keeping food scraps off the ground
• Cleaning up after eating
• Eating in designated areas
• Kindly reminding our friends to help keep shared spaces tidy

Returning Skipping Ropes Safely

Skipping ropes left on the ground can become a tripping hazard and may cause someone to get hurt.

After playing, please remember to:

• Return skipping ropes to their designated areas
• Hang them neatly on the rails

Taking care of our equipment helps prevent accidents and ensures everyone can use it safely and enjoyably.

Wearing a Hat for Sun Safety

Wearing a hat is an important way to stay safe in the sun. Protecting ourselves from harmful UV rays helps prevent sunburn and keeps us healthy during outdoor activities. The rule is ’No hat, sit on the silver seats’. This encourages more students to wear their hats and helps reduce the number of students running on hard surfaces, which lowers the risk of injuries.

Please remember to:

• Wear your hat when playing outside
• Sit on the silver seats if you don’t have a hat, If you forget your hat, you will sit under the COLA and engage in seated play with friends instead.

Toilets

Let’s keep our toilets clean and pleasant for everyone. Remember, toilets are for using when needed, not for playing. By taking care of them together, we can all enjoy a tidy and comfortable space. 

Our goal is to create a playground where everyone feels safe, respected and proud to play, eat and relax. Let’s work together to keep our playground clean, safe and fun every day.
