Fiesta and Mercado

The countdown to the CSPS Fiesta is on with only a week to go.  Students are rehearsing. Displays are going up. The Mercado stall holders are busily producing their stock.  The staff have prepared their art work.

A few reminders for the evening.

  • STOMP performances will be from 2:00pm on the hardcourt area.  Foundation to Year 6 will be the order of classes.
  • Student Led conferences will be in the classrooms.  No need to make a booking unless you are in the Foundation classrooms.  Year 5/6 will be held in the 5/6a & b classrooms.  All other classrooms will be open until 4:50pm.
  • The Year 6 Mercado will be held in the area located beside the Murrup building.  You will need to bring cash for these stalls. A token stall will be onsite $1 for $1 token.  The tokens will be used on ALL stalls.  Available for purchase will be items such as succulent plant pots, cookies, scrunchies, body scrubs and a whole lot more.   See the Education News page for photos of these items.
  • A sausuge sizzle will be availble undercover outside the main builiding.  Gold coin donation.
  • Teachers art will be available by Silent Auction.  Sneak peek of the creative work is attached to this notification. (No prizes for guessing which one Mrs Halket painted!). See the pots and silent auction sheets in the reception area.  All money raised will go towards new musical instruments for the music program.

COMPASS Calendar of Events

We live in a society where our child/ren only know the world of the internet.  It has come to the school’s attention the misuse of social media after hours has been occurring amongst some of our students.

More often than not, such is a personal matter in the home in how families monitor child/ren usage and access to apps, where the vast majority require a minimum of 13 years of age per Terms of Conditions.

Young children often use these apps to communicate with their friends. Unfortunately, this messaging is NOT always a positive experience. Parents should always remain aware and vigilant around the use of messenging apps.

Please see the Student Welfare and Wellbeing page for further information.
