TRIVIA FUNDRAISER 28TH AUGUST

🎁Fab or Flop – Lucky Dip Donations Wanted!

Got an unwanted gift hiding in the back of a cupboard? A quirky item you've never used? Or something that's actually pretty fabulous? We're calling on our school community to help stock our Fab or Flop lucky dip for Trivia Night!

For just $5, players will pick a mystery prize... but will it be fab or a flop? That's all part of the fun!

From 27–31 July, we're collecting donations. Have a clear out of those gift drawers, cupboards and shelves and drop your Fab (or Flop!) donations into the collection box at the school office. No item is too small as long as everything donated is brand new and valued at $5 or more.

This could include items such as candles, novelty socks, coffee vouchers, kitchen gadgets, hand wash sets, small homewares, stationery, or similar unused gifts you may have at home. The more weird, wonderful and unexpected, the better. Thanks for helping make this a fun fundraiser!

🎁 Silent Auction Donations Needed!

Our Trivia Night Silent Auction is going online this year, meaning everyone can bid – even if you can't make it on the night! To make it a huge success, we're on the lookout for amazing donations. Think accommodation stays, restaurant vouchers, experiences, spa treatments, tickets, or anything a little bit special. If you own a business, work for one, or know someone who might be able to help, we'd love to hear from you. Every donation helps us raise more for our school community.

🧠✨Trivia Night is Calling…

There are only 5 tables left, so now's the time to lock in your spot! Grab a group of family or friends and book a table, or come along on your own – we'll happily find you a team and it's a great way to meet some new people.

Our annual Trivia Night is always one of the highlights of the year, with plenty of laughs, friendly competition and a whole lot of fun. We'd love to see you there!

🎟️ Tickets are available now on Qkr! Don't leave it too late – once those last tables are gone, they're gone!

Scholastic Book Club Issue 5 is now available.

With your purchases this year, RPS has raised $450 so far and we are spending that on new books to replace older or more worn out copies and resources to help organise our non-fiction section.  We are planning on using future funds on books for texts to be used in our Classrooms and Specialists.

Remember every purchase you make donates money back to our school - thank you for your ongoing support!

RPS WINTER SOIREE

- A New RPS Tradition is Born!

Oh what a night! The inaugural RPS Winter Soirée at the fabulous Story Wines Urban Winery made its debut in spectacular style in Term 2, bringing together 70+ parents and friends of the school community for an evening of great company, premium wines, friendly competition and plenty of dancing.

And if the enthusiasm, laughter and packed dance floor of us 'Rippers' were anything to go by, this inaugural event has well and truly secured its place as an RPS "night not to miss" on the school social calendar.

The evening raised an amazing $3,500 for our school which will go directly to the upgrading of our junior playground.

The stunning venue provided the perfect backdrop for a winter celebration, with guests enjoying exceptional wines while bringing their absolute A-game to the festivities. The entertainment lineup did not disappoint, with award-winning performances from Cisco Callahan and The Ripoffs, before DJ Alec took over and turned the winery into a dance floor that was hard to leave.

The evening featured plenty of memorable moments, including the fiercely contested Winter Hat Showdown and some highly competitive bidding in the 'Tradie' live auction. Let's just say there were a few auction items that sparked serious determination among (very generous) bidders!

A huge thank you goes to the parent volunteers that made this night so successful. An event of this caliber just would not happen without these legends, and not because they felt obliged, but because they genuinely wanted to be part of creating something so fantastic for the RPS community. Their generosity, talent, skill, enthusiasm and willingness to get involved embodies the magic of what makes our school community so unique.

Special thanks to:

  • Rory and Anita Lane, Grade 2 and Grade 6 parents and owners of Story Wines, who donated the venue and contributed a percentage of bar sales of their highly sought after Story Wines Urban Winery
  • Zoe Klein, Peter HH, Elisa Justin and all families who generously donated auction items
  • Cisco Callahan, The Ripoffs and DJ Alec for their undeniable performances, making the dance floor a magnetic field impossible to resist.
  • Cameron Neubacher and Nick Smith for keeping our glasses full, spirits high behind the bar and then selflessly staying back until all glasses were clean and polished
  • Kate, Lee and Perrine, for their endless admin support, always willing to lend a hand and never once claiming to be too busy—though we're quite certain they had every right t
  • Skye HH and Emily Smith - party planners who just kept telling Rory they wanted a really really good party

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who attended, bid, danced, wore a fabulous winter hat and helped create such a fun and winning evening. The energy in the room was infectious, the community spirit was on full display, and together we raised valuable funds for our cherished school, all while having a ripper of a night out!

So, here's to the success of the inaugural RPS Winter Soirée—a fantastic first chapter in what has become an RPS tradition and a night not to miss next year.

If you'd like to recreate a little of the magic at home, you can stock up on Rory's award-winning wines and gin here  The Story Wines - Wines - All Wines  Another wonderful way to support a proudly Australian, local and family-run business and one of our very own RPS families"
