At Monday morning's assembly, we proudly acknowledged our Semester 2 Junior School Councillors. Each representative was presented with their Junior School Council badge by the Principal and our House Captains, marking the beginning of their important leadership role.
We congratulate these students on their appointment and look forward to the valuable contributions they will make throughout the semester. As representatives of their classmates, they will listen to the ideas and perspectives of their peers and work collaboratively to help make our school an even better place for everyone. We wish them every success as they embrace this opportunity to demonstrate leadership, responsibility and student voice.

Our Foundation students celebrated 100 days of school today! There were so many little old people parading around the hall and we were so surprised by how quickly their teachers had aged too.
Everyone had a day filled with fun activities to celebrate the milestone!

A Huge Thank You to Our Wonderful Disco Volunteers
A heartfelt thank you to our amazing parent volunteers who generously gave their time to organise and supervise this year's school disco. Events like these simply wouldn't be possible without the support, enthusiasm and commitment of our wonderful school community. An extra special thank you extends to Lauren Villanti who expertly organised the whole show and ensured it all went without a hitch!

The disco was a fantastic success, with students of all ages enjoying an evening filled with music, dancing, laughter and fun. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces as children came together to celebrate, make memories and enjoy spending time with their friends in a fun and welcoming environment.
Thank you once again to everyone who helped make the night such a special occasion. Your efforts are greatly appreciated by our students, staff and families, and we are incredibly grateful for your ongoing support of our school community.

Our term 3 working bee will take place on Saturday 8th August between 3pm -5pm. We need lots of helpers to keep our school looking beautiful. There's always a free snag or two on the barbie for our helpers!
Join us to keep our school safe and beautiful for your child/ren and then enjoy a lovely chat and a sausage afterwards.
Mr Bull will create a list of jobs for you to choose from and we will publish it next week's newsletter.
Let's make our school shine!
All students from years 3-6 are eligible to enter this online spelling Bee. If you would like your child to take part in this teacher supervised, online spelling bee, please see the Compass Event to give consent.

Last week IPS hosted a parent information session with Vanessa Hamilton from Talking the Talk Sexuality Education. The focus was simple: giving families the tools to support children’s wellbeing, confidence and safety as they grow.
Parents explored how children learn about bodies, consent, friendships, gender and online safety, and why early, calm and accurate conversations make a real difference. They also learned practical strategies for home, including naming body parts correctly, setting device boundaries at sleepovers, supporting help‑seeking, and building children’s confidence to recognise safe and unsafe situations.
A key message was that sexuality education is not a single talk. It is many small conversations that help children understand their bodies, respect others and navigate an increasingly complex online world. Anything you say is better than silence, and school learning works best when supported at home.
For those who weren't able to attend the information session, of you are curious about what your child is learning as part of the Health and Personal and Social Capability area of the Victorian Curriculum, you can access the Talking The Talk Virtual Classroom parent platform here >>>

This is a last call for enrolments for Foundation 2027. Enrolment forms must be submitted by 31st July 2026. If you have a child already at IPS, it is vitally important that sibling enrolments for 2027 are received at the school office by the end of this week. Official offers and confirmations will be advised from Monday, August 3.
Thank you for your continued support.
