Senior School Update

With Mr John Thompson

The term is quickly ending, but the action hasn’t stopped in the Senior School. I’m writing this report following our magnificent Harmony Day activities, so a massive thanks to Mr O and our Year 8s for the way in which these activities were held.

Since our last newsletter, our Year 8 students have gone on camp to Phillip Island. Having attended that camp myself, I can attest to the fantastic level of engagement with the various activities and respect shown toward camp staff, and I’m always proud of the way our students conduct themselves in the community. Thanks to all staff who attended camp to provide these wonderful opportunities for our students.

We have also seen outstanding results in the pool with our swimmers, so congratulations to all our athletes.

This Wednesday is a big day for our school, as we conduct our first Taster Day for prospective Year 7 students in 2027. We have over 60 registrations for this event and the positivity and enthusiasm surrounding our school is only growing, something our whole community should be proud of.

A reminder to all parents/guardians of Parent-Teacher Interviews in the final week of term. These are a great opportunity to talk to your child's subject teachers to get deeper feedback. Be sure to check SEQTA and your emails for booking details.

Finally, Senior School will look to have an involvement in the Easter Bonnet Parade on our final day of term, and I look forward to sharing details of that with all soon.
