Host Families Wanted

Host families wanted: Nouméa students visit CJC in 2027- Still 4 host families needed!

Dear Year 4 and Year 5 families,

Our Year 5 students will travel to our sister school, École Frédéric Surleau, in Nouméa this November. We are already planning the return visit: 22 Nouméa students (Year 5 equivalent) and 3 teachers, will spend a week at CJC from Monday 30 August to Saturday 4 September 2027 (dates TBC).

We are looking for 11 families to host two students each. This is an expression of interest only, with no commitment at this stage.

Why host?

- No French needed: the students attend bilingual schools and have some English

- Your child will use their French at home in the context of communication

- Lasting friendships and a genuine cultural exchange

- Short and well supported: 5 nights, with school days and excursions fully organised

What's involved

- Two students of the same sex, 5 nights, a bed for each

- Breakfast, packed lunch and dinner offered to both students

- Drop-off and pick-up at CJC only. A bus brings students to and from the airport, so no airport runs

- All excursions, buses and entry fees are paid by the sister school

- All adults aged 18+ in the home need a valid Working with Children Check
