As we move into the final weeks of the school year, there is a wonderful sense of excitement and anticipation across EVPS. Thank you to our students, staff and families for your ongoing support as we wrap up another successful year of learning and community.

Refugee Education Support Program (RESP), a department-funded initiative led by the Centre for Multicultural Youth and Foundation House. The program helps our school support the achievement, engagement, and wellbeing of students from refugee backgrounds.

 Student Safety – Helmet Reminder

A reminder that all students riding bikes, scooters or skateboards must wear a helmet, unless they have an approved exemption. Student safety remains our highest priority, and we appreciate families reinforcing these expectations at home.

Statewide Transition Day – Tuesday 9th December

Tuesday 9th December is the statewide Transition Day

  • Year 6 students will spend the day at their 2026 secondary schools.

At EVPS, remaining students will participate in our 2026 Class Transition / Step Up Session, giving them an opportunity to meet teachers and classmates for next year.

Transition Day gives students a wonderful opportunity to meet their new teachers and classmates the prepare for the year ahead with confidence. We encourage families to have positive conversations at home by focusing on the exciting possibilities that come with a new classroom—new learning, new friendships, and new challenges to grow from. Reassure your child that feeling a mix of excitement and nerves is perfectly normal, and remind them that their teachers are looking forward to supporting them every step of the way.

2026 Student Leaders

The selection process for our 2026 Student Leaders is well underway. We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm and dedication shown by all applicants. We look forward to announcing our new leaders at the Final Assembly on Monday 15th December.
