Sports Report

Interschool Sport

Our teams travelled to Donnybrook PS today and enjoyed some sunshine!

• Our boys' and girls' Softball teams fought hard today and displayed some fantastic skills. Although neither team could get the win, they were both very close games.
• Our girls' Tennis team had a remarkable win against their opposition today. The boys' tennis team came away with a draw with some hard-fought matches.
• The girls' Volleyball team had a win against some tough opposition. The boys came out and were not at their best in the first half. They fought back hard in the second half, but it was too late, and they couldn't get the win.

• Our students are back at school and had a wonderful time playing a game of kickball in the gym.

Next week we play against Mernda Central at home.

District Athletics

Thursday 27th August, a group of our Year 3-6 students went to MeadowGlen Athletics Track to participate in the District Athletics.

The day was about having a go, trying your best, and never giving up. All of our students did their very best and represented the school with pride and courage.

We had some great success, and the results speak for themselves, with a number of students heading off in 2 weeks to represent our school at the Division Athletics.

Speaking of AFL, we have one of our own making her AFLW debut this weekend....

Jade Mclay is making her AFLW debut this week for the St.Kilda Football Club.

She is listed as a tall utility player and was a major reason that the students defeated the teachers in that year's Footy Day Match.

She was pick 26 in the AFLW National Draft and was picked in the Victorian Metro team the same year. Jade went to Whittlesea Primary School and completed Year 6 in 2018. She then went to Whittlesea Secondary College for her secondary schooling.
