VCEA Letter 

Please see the attached letter from the Victorian Catholic Education Authority providing an update on work being undertaken to secure additional capital funding for Victorian Catholic schools. This investment would assist in enhancing existing school facilities and supporting the establishment of new schools across Victoria.

Preparing for 2027

Currently, Catholic schools are working through planning and budgeting activities for 2027 to ensure we are well placed to support our staff, students and school communities in the coming year. This includes considering how we can accommodate the changes likely to flow from a new Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA) with school staff.

We recognise the significant financial pressures many households are facing and are making a conscious effort to ensure these costs are not passed on through significant fee increases. We will continue to keep our parent community informed throughout this process.

As always, our focus remains on maintaining strong school communities and continuing to provide a high quality Catholic education for every student.

Parents & Friends Winter Movie Night 🎬❄️

The Parents & Friends Winter Movie Night was a fantastic evening and a great success, with more than 100 children attending.

A big thank you to our amazing Sacred Heart Parents & Friends Team, led by Monica and Tendayi, for organising such a wonderful night.

A special thank you to Prem for organising all the children’s orders, shopping and making sure everything was ready for the evening. We also sincerely thank everyone who helped before and during the event, generously giving their time and support.

It was truly a wonderful night for our students and families, and we are so grateful to everyone who helped make it such a memorable event.

2026 Book Week: Symphony of Stories 

Book Week begins on Monday, 24th August, with an exciting program celebrating the joy of reading, stories and imagination. Please refer to the Book Week timetable and Library News for further information and details about the week.

A special thank you to Prem, Di and Rosetta for their wonderful work in organising such an exciting week for our students. We truly appreciate their time, creativity and care.

🌸 Spring Festival School Holidays!

We’re excited to announce that MACSEYE’s Spring Festival School Holiday Program will be held at Sacred Heart Primary School these September school holidays!

Program Dates: Monday 21 September – Friday 2 October

Get ready for a fun-filled program celebrating the arrival of spring, with exciting activities and experiences planned for our children.
