Lest We Forget

On Tuesday 11 November, we paused to honour Remembrance Day - a time to reflect on the courage and sacrifice of those who served, and continue to serve, in times of conflict. At 11am we joined together in House groups for reflection and a minute of silence to remember them.

November invites us to both remember the past and look forward to the future. As we honour those who showed courage and resilience, let’s carry those same values into our studies and daily lives.

Whether you’re revising, reflecting or simply reading for relaxation, the Library remains your calm and supportive space.

Exam Season: You’ve Got This!

As exam season begins, the Library is here to support everyone tackling final exams and coursework.

Here are a few reminders to help you stay balanced and confident:

  • Plan, don’t panic: use your study timetable to break revision into small, focused chunks.
  • Take brain breaks: short walks, stretches, or quiet reading can reset your focus.
  • Ask for help: teachers, librarians and friends are here for you – no question is too small.
  • Believe in yourself: you’ve learned so much this year – trust in your preparation and effort.

Study Tip: The Library has set up Quiet Study Zones and Study Resource Displays with guides on exam preparation, time management and wellbeing during exams.

A reminder for ALL Staff and Students

Please, please, please return all items on loan from the library as soon as possible. We will be commencing our annual stocktake on December 1 and we need all items back on the shelves by then in order to get an accurate understanding of our collection. This is really important! Please help us out as there are 1,224 items that have been on loan - some for more than 2 years - and we need to know where they are. Emails will be going out shortly to let everyone know what you have on loan.

Thank You.
