Principal's Report

Each year on November 11, we pause to remember the courage and sacrifice of those who have served our country in times of war, conflict and peacekeeping. Remembrance Day invites us not only to honour the past, but to reflect on the enduring values of peace, freedom and responsibility that their service protects.

On Tuesday, we gathered in House groups to commemorate the day, praying for peace, acknowledging the sacrifices of so many and speaking of hope for the future.

Remembrance Day is about more than history; it is about connection, gratitude and empathy. It calls us to consider the human cost of conflict, the importance of peace and the role each of us plays in creating a more compassionate world.

As members of St Joseph’s, we are called to remember the past, learn from it and carry forward a commitment to peace and respect in our daily lives. Sometimes this begins simply - with kindness, a smile, a greeting or welcoming someone new into our community.

While there is still much conflict in our world, we continue to pray for peace and a brighter future for all.

Our Kildare Campus building works are now well underway, with earthmovers on site, sheds installed, fencing complete and many eager eyes watching progress. These are exciting times for St Joseph’s. The redevelopment of our Kildare Campus is timely and the new facilities will be truly state-of-the-art.

Finally, we wish the very best to our sporting teams heading to state finals next week. We hope they compete proudly, enjoy the experience and represent our College with strength and kindliness.

Lest we forget.

John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
