Before and Afterschool Care

Hi Familes,
We hope you have had a restful long weekend!
Halloween at Teamkids
On Thursday we celebrated Halloween with a spooky and laughter-filled party! One of the highlights was our “Mummy Wrap” competition, where the children teamed up to turn each other into mummies using toilet paper.
There was lots of teamwork, giggles, and friendly competition as everyone raced to wrap their mummies the fastest. Our winning team took home a fun Halloween prize, but everyone had a fantastic time joining in the fun!
We continued our Halloween celebrations in the lead up to our party on Thursday! This week the children had a great time painting their own plaster Halloween characters. They chose from a range of spooky designs and brought them to life with lots of colour and creativity. Everyone was proud of their unique creations, which have added a fun touch to our space!
We also decorated cupcakes with a Halloween theme, using icing, sprinkles, and lollies to create creepy designs. The children enjoyed being creative and personalising their cupcakes before proudly eating their sweet masterpieces. It was the perfect way to finish off our Halloween celebrations!
Culture Club
This week we visited our first country in Culture Club . . . America!
We did a cooking activity within this, where we made burgers. Children made healthy choices as they chose what to put in their burgers, and they had heaps of fun putting them together. Educators helped cook them, but they got to enjoy eating them with their friends. Here, they shared their knowledge about America! Then they added another page to their passports, including something new they learnt about the country, as well as a word or phrase. They also drew the flag and then received a new stamp!
Next week, we’re looking forward to visiting England.
