Meet Our 2025 House Captains

Marnath Machar – Columba House Captain

Hey everyone! My name is Marnath, and I’m thrilled to be one of your Columba House Captains for 2025!

A little about me—I love playing sports and working out, with basketball being my absolute favourite. I currently play for the Dandenong Rangers and enjoy pushing myself both on and off the court. Academically, my favourite subject is Biology, as I’m fascinated by the complexity of life.

Throughout my time at St John’s, I’ve been proud to represent Columba, especially at the Swimming Carnival, where I’ve competed and won in multiple events. As captains, Levi and I are committed to continuing Columba’s legacy, helping every student unlock their full potential, and leading our house to another victorious year!

Levi Hughes – Columba House Captain

Hey everyone! I’m Levi, and I’ll be leading Columba alongside Marnath in 2025!

I

’m proud to be part of the back-to-back champion CO2 team in the Inter-Homeroom Volleyball Competition, which has been an incredible experience. Outside of school, I enjoy playing soccer and volleyball. Academically, Maths is my favourite subject—even though it can be a challenge, I love the feeling of pushing through and figuring things out!

Next year, my goal is to take Columba to new heights by building an unmatched house spirit and teamwork—because teamwork makes the dream work! I’m excited to start the new year with Marnath and Mr. Alexander, and I look forward to making 2025 our best year yet.
