IDAHOBIT

On May 19th we celebrated IDAHOBIT Day here at Heathmont College. IDAHOBIT Day aims to help raise awareness to Homophobia and Transphobia around the world by spreading positivity and educating the public on Queer Culture and the reality of living as an LGBTQ+ person in today's society. Students were encouraged to wear a splash of rainbow to their uniform to show their pride!
Heathmont College's Pride Club, Wellbeing Team and Student Leaders celebrated this day by creating and running activities such as the classic annual pledge board, the "Guess The Flag" game, and of course some free items such as pronoun pins and stickers. We also had some new activities this year including temporary tattoos and face-paint.
Thanks for the incredibly fun day and I look forward to it again next year!
