Principal's Update

Welcome to another addition of our newsletter!

We've had another busy fortnight at WMPS!

  1. We loved celebrating Mother's Day/ Special persons Day with you all!

Some photos were added to Facebook - please take a look.

  2. There were fabulous results in the District Cross Country - with 3 of our students continuing on to the Division Level: Reed, Santi and Zach - CONGRATULATIONS!
  3. We all wore Blue for our 'Do it for Dolly Day' - where we raised funds to put a STOP to bullying.

Jump to our Fundraising page for more information.

  4. This week we all enjoyed listening to The Truck Cat story on the big screen - where we were linked to all schools Australia wide! Deborah Frenkel, the author narrated, while illustrator Danny Snell let a drawing lesson.
  5. KABOOM Sports - every student was involved in about 15 different tabloid sport activities in our Kaboom Sports morning - great fun!

PROMOTION OF OUR SCHOOL:

We have been invited to visit local kindergartens and childcare centres in the area, to talk to parents at Information Nights.  We spoke about school readiness, developing resilience and independence and how we teach students at their point of need.

We welcome everyone to tour our school and see for themselves how much we have to offer.

WE NEED YOU:

Bunnings BBQ - Our next fundraising event is a Bunnings Sausage Sizzle, Notting Hill on Saturday 31st May. We would appreciate just 2 hours of your time to help us raise funds for our school!

Please sign up in the office, or send an email through to waverley.meadows.ps@education.vic.gov.au

SAKG:

Please let Mandy Dennehy know if you can help. (amanda.dennehy@education.vic.gov.au)
