District Cross Country

On Friday, Boorowa Central School hosted the Cowra District Cross Country Carnival, providing an exciting opportunity for our students who qualified to represent Boorowa from our recent whole-school carnival. The event was a resounding success, showcasing the dedication and talent of our young athletes.

We are incredibly proud of all participants, who demonstrated exemplary behaviour and effort throughout the day. Each athlete represented Boorowa Central School with pride - well done!

We are delighted to announce that Oakley qualified in the 8/9 years boys category, Harper  in the 10 years girls category, Digby in the 11 years boys category, and Edie in the 12/13 years girls category. Congratulations to these students for their remarkable achievements! They have earned the right to compete in the Western Region Cross Country Carnival, representing the Cowra District PSSA, which will take place at Gosling Creek on the 11th of June. This is a significant accomplishment, and we look forward to supporting them as they prepare for this exciting event.

As we celebrate the achievements of our athletes, we also want to acknowledge the encouragement from our teachers, families, and peers that played a vital role in their success. A huge thankyou to Boorowa Central School P & C for coordinating the canteen, and parents who volunteered in other roles. Credit must also go to the secondary teachers, Mrs Cosgrove; Miss Bromfield; and Miss Moorby; who assisted in the coordination of the day, with assistance from some secondary student volunteers.

Overall, it was a successful day, and best of luck to those students who qualified for the next level of competition.
