Saints' & St Monica's Riders Pedal to Victory in FNQ's MTB Challenge

Recently, 39 riders from St Augustine's and two from St Monica's triumphed in the FNQ Interschool MTB Challenge, winning the round and the 2024 series outright. Logan and Hugh delivered stellar performances, securing second-place finishes, while the team showcased strength across their individual categories.

The day was a celebration of family spirit, with St Augustine's parents and students making up most of the volunteers. A special highlight was Old Boy Gilbert Gutowski who reconnected with the team at Crankworx and generously provided prizes from Norco Bicycles and Merida Bikes.

Congratulations to all involved for this outstanding achievement.

And in other exciting cycling news, congratulations to Zach Odenthal and Logan Lockyer on being accepted into the AusCycling MTB Development Academy – Far North Queensland team. This team will offer the boys state and national training and racing opportunities.

QLD State Motor Racing Championship

Congratulations to Matthew Boylett on his victory in the 2024 Queensland State Championships for Series X3 Hyundai Excel Racing. He is the youngest state title winner and the first person to win all five rounds in a single season.
