Transitioning to University Autistic Students Guide

Updated guide for autistic students transitioning to university

Transitioning to University: Autistic Students Guide is a newly rewritten ADCET resource, co-designed with autistic students and researchers, that supports autistic people at every stage of their university journey.

Grounded in the neurodiversity paradigm, the guide explains how to navigate university systems, including disability support, reasonable adjustments, self-advocacy, assessment requirements, and what to do when problems arise. Practical strategies are provided to help students thrive, covering study skills, time management, sensory needs, strengths based approaches, and burnout prevention.

The guide also includes downloadable tools and resources to help autistic students navigate and thrive in higher education.
