First Eucharist
We are very excited to share that some of our students will be celebrating the Sacrament of First Eucharist on Sunday, August 10th, at 10am during the Parish Mass at St. Martin de Porres Church.
The Eucharist is a very special part of our Catholic faith. It is a meaningful step in our children’s faith journey as they receive Jesus’ Body for the first time and grow closer to Him.
Please keep Amelia, Darren, Kathlyn, Ivy, Evelyn, Selina, Joshua, Rishon, Madison and Ramielle in your prayers as they prepare for this important day.
To help make the celebration even more special, 22 students from our school choir and band will be performing during the Mass. We thank them for sharing their talents in support of this sacred occasion.
Mary Mackillop Feast Day
Tomorrow we celebrate the Feast Day of Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop, Australia’s first saint and a remarkable woman of faith, courage, and service. Mary MacKillop dedicated her life to helping those in need, especially through education, and her legacy continues to inspire Catholic communities across the country.
As a school community, we will gather to honour Mary MacKillop with a special prayer service led by our Grade 5/6A students. All students will be attending this service, taking time to reflect on Mary’s life and how we can follow her example of kindness, perseverance, and trust in God.
We encourage families to take a moment tomorrow to remember Mary MacKillop’s powerful message: “Never see a need without doing something about it.” Let us keep her spirit alive in our hearts and actions.
