Make Difference at Parkhill

Join a School Council Sub-Committee and Make a Difference at Parkhill PS
Parkhill Primary School is fortunate to have a dedicated School Council that works closely with staff and the wider community to support the success of our students. One of the most rewarding ways for parents and carers to contribute is by joining one of our School Council sub-committees.
Sub-committees provide an opportunity for parents to share their skills, perspectives, and expertise in areas that directly support our school. Whether you have a professional background in a particular field or simply want to become more involved in school life, your contribution can make a real difference.
We are currently seeking parent representatives for the following sub-committees:
Buildings & Grounds
Help shape the future of our school environment by contributing ideas and feedback on facilities, maintenance, playground developments, and improvement projects.
Policy
Support the review and development of school policies to ensure they reflect best practice and meet the needs of our school community.
Finance
Provide input into financial planning and budgeting processes that help ensure resources are used effectively to support student learning and school improvement.
Parents and Friends Association (PFA)
Work alongside other parents to organise community events, fundraising activities, and initiatives that strengthen connections across our school. Like the upcoming Trivia Night!
Foundation Family Representation Invitation
At present, we do not have any Foundation family representation on our School Council subcommittees. Having parents from all year levels involved helps ensure that a broad range of voices and experiences are heard when decisions are being made.
If your child has recently started at Parkhill PS, joining a sub-committee is a wonderful way to learn more about the school, meet other families, and contribute to the continued growth of our community.
As I often communicate to our families, parent involvement is one of the key strengths of our school. We encourage anyone interested in becoming a member of a sub-committee to reach out and express their interest. Meetings are held throughout the year, and participation can be flexible depending on your availability.
Together, we can continue to make Parkhill Primary School a vibrant, welcoming, and successful place for all students.
