Bill Turner Trophy 11 May
Our under 15 girls Soccer team recently competed in the Bill Turner Trophy in Inverell against Holy Trinity. Our girls triumphed with an impressive 5-0 victory. Congratulations to Kalli and Ruby for each scoring 2 goals. A special commendation goes to Mia, who netted 1 goal. Well done to the entire team for their outstanding performance!
We also want to express our gratitude to Mr. Ryan and Mr. Marshman for their invaluable support.
Age Care
During term 2 sports, our students are given the option to visit aged care residents on Wednesday afternoons, and the recent indoor bowls game proved to be a notable success, uniting students and residents in a spirit of friendship.
Inclusive Sports Boccia 5 May
Our Boccia Team proudly represented THS at the Inclusive Sports Boccia Competition held today at the Ballina Indoor Sports Centre. The students showcased their skills and teamwork, ultimately achieving an impressive 7th place overall.
Touch Football
Our open girls Touch football team participated in the Gala Day in Inverell on 4 May.
Buckley Shield
Our U14 Rugby league team competed in the Buckley Shield CHS competition against Glen Innes and Inverell on 29 April. Both opposing teams, and our players rose to the challenge admirably. They represented themselves, their families, and the school with pride through excellent gameplay and teamwork. A sincere thank you to Mr Cook and Mrs Jones for their time and dedication in convening, refereeing, and coaching at the carnival.
Swimming
Twelve students journeyed to Sydney to take part in the NSW Combined High Schools Sports Association's annual swimming championships, held over three days starting from April 29. Our swimmers showcased their skills, with many achieving personal bests.
A heartfelt thank you to the dedicated parents who accompanied the students; it was a wonderful opportunity to engage in such a significant event.
Open Soccer
On 29 April, the Open girls' soccer team played a home match against Armidale. Although our team showcased impressive skills, they unfortunately lost with a score of 1-0. A great effort by everyone, well done.
Squash
Congratulations to Finlay for securing a place on the North West squash team following the trials held in Armidale on 29 April.
Girls Rugby League
Congratulations to Ava on her selection as a hooker for the Greater Region Girls Rugby League Team. Additionally, she has been recognised as the Most Valuable Player!!

Boys Soccer
On 23 April, our U15 Boys soccer team faced off against Glen Innes. Although they led 2-1 at halftime, they ultimately fell short. Despite the loss, the team demonstrated commendable effort and strong team spirit throughout the game.
