Rewards Day Excursion 15 May
The Term 1 rewards day excursion offered eligible students a chance to attend the NRL Magic Round at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane. A total of 52 students participated, accompanied by Mr Caisley, Miss Phillips, Ms Green, and Matt.
They watched two exciting football games and immersed themselves in the vibrant atmosphere, with many students experiencing a live football event for the very first time. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this event a success.
State AECG Sydney Visit 5-7 May
During the AECG visit to Sydney, Jahmal and Roxanne attended a series of important meetings and discussions focused on improving educational outcomes for Aboriginal students across NSW.

Janelle Saffin MP, Michelle Hall (Executive Director Aboriginal Education and Communities), Murat Dizdar (Secretary of the NSW Department of Education), Ms Deb Summerhayes PSM, and other senior Department executives.
The visit included attending Question Time at Parliament House as guests of the Deputy Premier, followed by discussions regarding Aboriginal education, student participation, attendance, and future opportunities for students.
A major highlight was the round table discussion involving Junior AECG student representatives from Menindee and Tenterfield, where students shared perspectives on the differences between their schools and explored ways to strengthen attendance, engagement, and participation. The visit concluded with further discussions and networking opportunities with the Association Management Committee (AMC) of the State AECG.

Student Visit
Frankie Vasta, a former student of THS, visited the Year 12Visual art/Visual design class and shared his experiences and insights gained after leaving school. Frankie is currently undertaking a cinematography course in Brisbane, studying various aspects of the film industry.
The class had the opportunity to use high-quality photographic equipment in a studio setting, creating short video clips. Throughout the visit, Frankie imparted excellent advice and showcased his expertise, which was undoubtedly beneficial for the students. We appreciate Frankie’s willingness to share his time and knowledge with our students.
Instrumental Music Program
Mrs Jenni Waites instrumental music lessons are off to a great start this term! Students are learning to play concert band instruments and focusing on developing good tone and playing together in time. They’re building skills in technique and teamwork as they prepare pieces for the Eisteddfod later this year. Great work everyone!
2027 Year Advisor
THS extends our congratulations to Miss Keddy on her appointment as Year Advisor for the 2027 cohort! As Year Adviser, she will be supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally, helping them navigate their high school journey and reach their potential.
We look forward to seeing the positive impact Ms Keddy will have on our class of 2027 students and the broader school community.
Anzac Day
Tenterfield High School community came together in quiet reflection and deep respect at the ANZAC Day Dawn Service and march. Standing side by side, we honoured the courage, sacrifice, and enduring spirit of our ANZAC heroes.
Moments like these remind us of the strength of community — how we gather not only to remember the past, but to carry forward the values of service, mateship, and resilience.
We thank everyone who joined us to pay tribute. Their legacy lives on in the way we support one another and stand together. Lest we forget.
Autumn Festival
A huge shout out to our amazing Year 12 students for their support at the Easter Egg Hunt during the Autumn Festival!
They didn’t stop there—our students also accompanied the Easter Bunny to Millrace & Haddington Nursing Homes, where they shared Easter eggs and created some truly special moments with residents. We’re so proud of their kindness, community spirit, and willingness to give back.
