Steps to Ceramics

Students created wall vases with the guidance of Ceramist Mary-Lou Hogarth. Mary-Lou volunteered her time to spend about six lessons guiding the students on how to construct a wall vase. The students were able to design their vases based on a theme of their choice. They were asked to consider what is important to them, what inspires them, and what hobbies they have.

The mixed junior soccer team report that they "got slammed" on Tuesday, yet they were proud that Eli scored a goal, and Sebastian who showed leadership. Despite 2 losses, our players demonstrated sport integrity by initiating handshakes at the end of their games.

Intermediate and Senior Girls Netball

The day was filled with smiles and high fives. Both teams worked really well together and showed great sportsmanship. Players were shared around with some intermediate players stepping up into the senior league to land a hand. Throughout the day, teams worked out which combination worked well while making sure all were included and got time on the court. There were fast plays and lots of goals were scored. Some also volunteered with the umpiring while not playing and others made sure scores were being tallied. Overall it was a very successful day. Well done to all players.

Intermediate Boys Netball

The day started slowly, with the boys and I not really sure what position would suit everyone. Two minutes in, though and everyone was firing on all cylinders, working well as a team and using court space to their advantage. Rowan, Hamish, and Zelk worked wonders at the net.. Lincoln, Fuddy and Eddy dominated the midcourt with their ferocious speed and agility. At the same time, Hudson, Beau and Jacob defended well and were great in the many positions they were placed in. We won three of the five games convincingly, and the two losses were very close. Well done guys!
