Assistant Principal

Handover

From Mitch: I take this time to reflect on Semester 1 and all the fantastic achievements we have made as a school community, as well as individually. As I commence leave for Semester 2, I wish Shantelle and the Leadership Team all the best in ensuring the school continues to represent the community and the learning opportunities available to each student. Shantelle will do a great job in continuing to help the school grow and thrive. She has asked for this message about Lunch Passes to go out in today's newsletter:

Students Lunch Passes

From Shantelle: I'm really looking forward to stepping into the Acting Assistant Principal role, and am grateful for the opportunity.

We are making a change in Term 3 to the way that students are supervised when they leave the school grounds for Lunch Passes. Students in Years 7–11 who request and have parent permission to purchase their lunch down the street will now be escorted. This change is being introduced to strengthen duty of care, reduce risk, and ensure students remain supervised while off‑site. Students will meet at the office, sign out and walk to and from the shops as a group with the supervising staff member (SEL or Leadership).

Awards

Well done and congratulations to all students who received awards today. Recognising and promoting hard work in learning and school behaviours is important. We hope that throughout Semester 2 all students strive to be recognised through the awards rituals.

Holidays

Stay safe through the holiday break. For those hoping for snow, I am sure the wait will be worth it and that you'll make the most of it when it arrives.
