Malvern Primary Athletics:

On Friday 15th August Malvern Primary years 3-6 students were buzzing with excitement with their bus rides down to Sandringham Athletics Track.

Our day kicked off with 800m run, and then we broke into our track and field events battling the weather. Everyone got to take part in different events like long jump, triple jump, 100m, 200m and high jump with hurdles being delayed due to weather.

Then we had the longest event the 1500m run before the highlight of the day and having our 'Fastest in the school' race, where our 8 fastest girls and boys raced off against one another. We all had a great day and were exhausted for our bus ride home.

The final standing for the day were:

4th Place: Bunjil

3rd Place: Warin

2nd Place: Gurraborra

1st Place: Marram

District Athletics:

Last Thursday, 4th September Malvern Primary sent 50 students to the represent our school at the Caulfield district athletics day at Duncan McKinnon Athletics Track.

We watched from the grandstand as our friends competed and gave their best efforts.

We were all so proud with 16 of Malvern Primary students going through in their individual events, and 2 of our relay teams progressing through to the Kingston division event in term 4.

We were all so proud of our efforts and had a great day supporting one another through the wind and the rain to help Malvern Primary finish on top of the district in first place by 25 points.
