PREP NEWS

What a fabulous few weeks we have had. The Prep children have been amazing and have participated in Book Week Parade with Buddies, Whole School Concert, followed by Father’s Day breakfast on Friday. 

The Book Week Parade was a fabulous event on the oval outside. The children paraded around with their Buddies then did some special writing about their costume. We had Anna McGregor, author of several picture story books, visit us and tell us all about her books. “Spiro”, her last book, was shortlisted this year. She has had books win in previous years.  

The school concert was such an exciting event and some of the Preps can’t wait to do it again. A big day with rehearsal first then the actual concert. We were so proud of the children. They performed beautifully but also loved watching the other grades. I believe the teachers' dance was a highlight! Well done Prep children, you were phenomenal. Thank you for all of your help, support and enthusiasm too Mum and Dad, we couldn’t have done it without you.  

Father’s Day breakfast was so fun and we teachers always enjoy watching the dad’s reaction to receiving their magnificent Father’s Day ties. The children had breakfast with dad, or a very special friend then sang songs. Following the mini concert, dads followed children into the classroom where they worked together to make a picture of dad using cut out coloured paper.  

With such a busy few weeks, we congratulate your children on the way they handled the busy schedule and can now look forward to a happy holiday.
