Hear that sound lingering in your mind? It sounds like a cat….a soft cat. In a dreamy night a black cat is woken by the dark wolves howling in the distance. Light shines brighter than ever. That cat has the power of light! When the cat stepped foot on a pumpkin she was taken to the dark side! When she fell in it was way different. The leaves were too bright. Maybe this was her world? She was amazed, happy and excited. She could not believe her eye. Finally, she was in her world.

October 31st 1944… I hear Mum answering the door giving treats to other children. BAM! It is midnight, something banged on the window, waking me up. I feel this overgrowing urge to get outside. As a near voice call me I follow it. As it wakes me into the forest I hear a “Meow”. I shiver. Without thinking I run deeper into the woods. Ouch! I feel a prickle jab into my soft, squishy skin. Suddenly, the ground shakes and I hear screams in the distance. The cat pounces on me, attacking me, forcing me to faint!

Awhooo! On pumpkin night, everyone was dressing up as a pumpkin except me and my brother. The parade was boring but then I heard the wind say “Come over here”. I asked my brother if he heard it. He shook his head no but he would do anything to get out of here. As we approached the pumpkin patch there was a cloud of fog. When we went through there were NO PUMPKINS! Suddenly, some appeared and then more and more. We were trapped! Luckily, Mum and Dad came before we were stick for good.
