Last Friday we celebratated Spirit Day, the birthday of our school when we celebrate all the amazing things that happen at our school and the wonderful people that work and learn here. The day began with a beautiful mass celebrated by Father Arsenio with music led by our amazing choir and guitar band. After recess the students went on a pilgrimage with their buddies to learn more about Pentacost and the Jubilee year.
Here is a recount of the pilgriamge written by one of our Jubilee ambassadors Astrid Punturere
On Spirit day the 6s made a pilgrimage for the whole school to participate in, A people were with 6EK and B people were with 6AM. The 1st station was the Jubilee year 2025 logo and the 2nd station was the Holy Door which I got to learn about too. The 3rd station was ‘What is a pilgrimage?’ which I presented with Aiden, Gemma and Isaac, doing this one was really fun. The 4th station was what is a confirmation pilgrimage I wanted to do a confirmation pilgrimage but the one I got was really fun. The 5th station was Pentecost, the story of the Holy Spirit, the 6th station was Sacred spaces at Holy Spirit and the last station was how do you become a pope and how our Pope is Leo the 14th. Spirit day was fun for all of us.
