Bunjil Awards
Bunjil awards recognise student achievement and those who display our school values of being respectful, responsible and kind. Well done! All of our weekly winners enjoyed a hot chocolate or zooper dooper with a principal. This process is always a great chance for us to hear from the kids and ask them some questions about our school.

🎣 Little Angler Kits Have Arrived for Year 5 Students!
Our Grade 5 Little Angler Kits have arrived and will be sent home with students on Monday 17 August.
These FREE kits are provided through the Victorian Government’s Little Angler Kit program and are designed to encourage children and families to get outdoors and enjoy recreational fishing.
Each kit includes a fishing rod and reel, tackle tray and fishing tackle, along with information to help children get started.
Opting out
If you do not wish for your year 5 child to receive a Little Angler Kit, please contact the school by 4pm this Friday 14 August - you can call the office on 5341 3560 or email buninyong.ps@education.vic.gov.au.
No action is required if you are happy for your child to receive a kit.
Important
As the kits contain fishing hooks, students are asked not to open their kit at school or on the way home. Please keep the kit sealed until your child is at home and can open it with the supervision of a parent or carer.
Want to know how to use the kit?
The Victorian Fisheries Authority has created a Little Angler hub with instructional videos and helpful information about setting up the rod, fishing knots, and where and how to fish. Visit the Victorian Fisheries Authority Little Angler Hub.
We hope our Grade 5 students enjoy putting their new fishing gear to good use!
An Amazing Achievement for Ida!
Congratulations to Ida in Year 5, who travelled to Queensland over the weekend to trial for the Australian Mighty 11’s Test Team.
The trials bring together some of the fastest 11-year-old riders, with just five girls and five boys selected to represent Australia. We’re very excited to share that Ida has earned a place in the team!
Ida will now have the incredible opportunity to represent Australia in New Zealand this October.
What a fantastic achievement, Ida - congratulations!
Lunchtime Club
Our Lunchtime Club has been such a hit that, due to popular demand, it now runs at both break times!
The club provides students with a welcoming space to spend time with friends, enjoy a range of activities and connect with others during their breaks. It’s been fantastic to see so many students choosing to come along and get involved.
Here are a few snapshots of Lunchtime Club in action!
