Monash Uni will be in attendance at the Perth Careers Expo from 15-18 May. There will be representatives from the Faculty of Arts (15-18th May) and Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences  (15 -17th May).

VTAC Applications

  • A reminder that Year 12 Students looking to apply to Monash in 2026 will need to complete a VTAC (Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre) application. Students are also encouraged to complete the VTAC Equity Scheme and Scholarships Application for consideration to be considered for Scholarships and admission consideration.

  • Key dates for 2026 entry:

    • Timely course applications open: July 28, 2025

    • Timely course applications close: September 29, 2025

    • SEAS applications open:  July 28, 2025

    • SEAS applications close:  October 10, 2025

  • Students are encouraged to submit an application AS SOON as they open, as applications are on a first-in-first-served basis. ANY student considering submitting a VTAC application with a Monash Course preference and wanting to live on campus should note this date/time in their calendar and submit an application first thing on this date.

  • There is no application fee to apply

Mannix College

  • Privately run accommodation option across the road from our main Clayton Campus. 

  • Only fully catered option.

  • Application fee and interview as part of the application.

Rising Scholar Update - Semester 2 2025


What's Happening at ECU

Explore STEM @ ECU | Year 10

Hosted by the School of Science on June 26, this free full-day excursion allows Year 10 students and their teachers to experience life as an ECU student at the Joondalup campus. Students will participate in interactive workshops led by ECU lecturers and students to explore their uni study options before choosing senior school subjects. Each school can bring up to 24 students interested in a STEM pathway, with a maximum of two streams (12 students per stream). Available streams include: 

  • The Human Body

  • Digital Investigation

  • The Science of Conservation

  • Water for Everyone.

*A staff member must accompany each group.

 

 

Experience ECU Days | Winter School Holidays | Year 9 & 10

ECU Student Ambassadors will host three full days of free experiences at the Joondalup campus during the July school holidays. A door prize will also be offered each day. Registrations are open, for more information contact ecustudentambassadors@ecu.edu.au.  

 

Business and Law, Engineering - Thursday, 10 July

The Moot Court simulation will offer participants an immersive experience into legal proceedings and ignite interests in legal careers. Other activities will include Shark Tank style business pitching and Engineering style practical building opportunities. Register now

 

Medical and Health Sciences - Friday, 11 July

This is a hands-on day where students will be engaging in a Microscope Hair session (bring in your pet hair), Nutrition workshop making smoothies and an interactive Sport Science exercise session to add a dynamic element to the day! Register now

 

Science - Friday, 18 July

This day will have three exciting workshops that will allow students to explore Cyber Security and personal security practices. Use our Science labs to find out what bugs live in the campus lake and use paper chromatography to potentially uncover artwork from the mysterious Banksy! Register now

Bond University Update

Applications

Applications for Year 12 students are now open for students to Apply. These will be finalised when their first half of year 12 results are released. Students can apply here: https://bond.edu.au/entry-to-bond/how-to-apply

 

Scholarships

Scholarships are now open for students to apply. Please remember, that students will need to apply for a degree prior to applying for any scholarships. The WA only Vynka Hohnen Scholarship is open as part of this process. 

 

The first round of scholarships will be closing on the Thursday, 31 July 2025, with school recommendations due shortly after. Students can apply here: https://bond.edu.au/entry-to-bond/scholarships

 

Open Day Interstate experience

Once again we will be offering Students in Year 12 from WA to join our Vice Chancellor for breakfast prior to our Open Day this year. We will cover their accommodation for a few nights in Broadbeach, if they are willing to make their own way over. They can register here, though any student that has started an application I will reach out to anyway.

Colleges Open Day at Melbourne Uni 

You may already know, but please remind your Year 11s and 12s that the colleges at the University of Melbourne have their Open House event on Saturday, 17 May. Students are able to register their interest for a tour of Trinity here.
